Love The Wall

Love the Wall

There is this boy. He is currently content with all that is in his life. He has a full family that eats dinner together every night. His parents have good jobs and buy him whatever he wants. He has friends who hang out with him a lot. He was simply cruising along living the good life.

Then one day everyone around him got stressed and slowly things started to get worse from there. His friends started getting stressed with marks for school, high school drama, and parties. Instead of talking to him they shut him out; put up walls between themselves and him. All the while he can see it on their faces and through how they act, that they are just falling apart. His parents are having a tough time at work and are on the verge of perhaps losing their jobs. They tell him not to worry, and that they will take care of it. They try to put a wall between their struggles and their son so that he won't see their struggle. But he sees right through the wall and is filled with anxiety. His once easy life takes a turn for the worst...

... One day he goes to the chapel and sits down to pray. He prays for a long time and eventually falls asleep. When he wakes up, he looks to his right and notices a wall. He gets up and walks towards the wall, finding something peculiar about it. He goes right up to it to observe it and notices that the bricks have little sparkles over it. He also notices the different tones, colours, and brick material all over, mixed in the wall. Then he runs his hand along the wall and notices how the texture changes and how it feels as he does so. In this moment he realizes all he needs in order to restore order to his life.

The boy realized that the wall is beautifuland even contains God’s love. A wall is automatically seen as a hindrance of love, but as we look at the wall we notice all the small details in the wall whether it’sthe material used or a dot added or even the texture changing as you run your hand across it. Every single detail was given by God. Yes it was brought together by man, but all detail comes from God. With every detail God created,he created it with love.

With a wall to a person’s heart, we realize they are just longing for love, unsure if by letting someone see more than their wall they will be loved or be able to love. But every single detail that makes up that wall is an opportunity to love. The things that we hide behind, video games, computers, even homework, are opportunities to love someone on a deeper level because all detail was made with love, reach out to them and connect through these details in the wall; so love may be found in them. Because God created every detail with love. Even as they run away from the wall they built between you, we are still called to love. Every single detail in our lives is love.

You could even say we are the walls God created to have standing because we have so many details about ourselves; we are houses, temples, vessels to our God. With so many details in our characters, we have such a capacity to love. If every detail of our being is made with love and can be done with love then love itself may fill every detail. If we bring love into all these details, imagine the capacity we have to love, to be loved,to be the will of love. God is love, love is God; He lives inside us, shining brightly in every single detail of our lives. Don’t go around the wall, don’tbreak down the wall; love will embrace the wall for everything that it is:
"It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things"
-1 Corinthians 13: 7

It may seem like it won’t change anything, but choose to love. Learn to be loved.Whether you are the one shunned out or the one shunning others out, love is the key to our lives. The power of love is so great, it can empower those that are doubtful, and calm the troubled heart. The boy realized how love could restore order to his life, how can love bring order to yours? Allow love to flow into your life, allow God to live within you, that will unlock the pathway beyond the wall. Every detail, every action, may it be fuelled by love. When you see a wall to someone’s heart, remember to look at the details and
Love the Wall.
